Breighton Smith

As a proud son of immigrants, Breighton has a special love and appreciation for America, for our Constitution, and for “We the People.”

Breighton is a lifelong Republican, Constitutional Conservative, and native of Ohio, and was born to Jamaican parents who legally immigrated to the United States seeking opportunity and the American Dream. Breighton received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Dayton, and his Juris Doctorate from Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He currently manages his family’s law practice and is a small business owner and partner of a visual arts company.

Breighton serves as a Councilman for the City of Lebanon, and is also a former Ohio Republican Party and Donald J. Trump Campaign staffer. He has been engaged in almost every level of local campaigning, from volunteering and grassroots advocacy to campaign advisory and management. Among other things, Breighton is also a member of the National Rifle Association and is also on the Board of Directors of the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce.

“Alongside our innate need to connect with our Creator, there is nothing more fundamental to our humanity than the power of individual liberty and the responsibility that necessarily comes with it. Choice and accountability are what give true meaning to the things we do. Statism and collectivism, which are achieved through a big totalitarian government, will always seek to destroy the very things that make us human by replacing God and liberty with government and tyranny. It is our duty to stop that destruction and, in so doing, save our God-given humanity.” - Breighton Smith

Breighton is married to his wife, Stephanie, and they live in the City of Lebanon, Ohio.

Lori Viars

Lori did not grow up with an interest in politics. As a young, married adult, she became active with Citizens for Community Values and Right To Life. When these groups urged members to “call your Congressman,” Lori noticed her Congressman always voted the right way. So Lori called his office and volunteered to stuff envelopes. Her husband once wryly commented, “It snow-balled from there.” After leaving the workforce to be a stay-at-home mom, Lori became more involved in conservative politics--out of a concern for the world her children would grow up in. Higher taxes, out of control spending, attacks on Constitutional rights, and abortions through all nine months of pregnancy prompted Lori to volunteer on campaigns.

Lori has worked on dozens, perhaps hundreds, of campaigns from presidential races to local campaigns for city council--and everything in between. Due to her years of volunteering, she was invited to the White House Christmas Party in 2008. Lori worked to pass Ohio’s fetal homicide law (the Daly Bill, enacted in 1996), the Women’s Right To Know law, and parental notice/parental consent laws. She worked to pass the 2004 Unborn Victims of Violence Act and suggested that it be named "Laci's Law" after Laci Peterson, a pregnant mother from Modesto CA murdered by husband Scott Peterson. Laci’s mother agreed but improved upon that suggestion and the bill was called “Laci & Conner’s Law,” including Laci’s unborn baby boy.

Lori worked to pass the 2004 Ohio Marriage Amendment, the Partial Birth Abortion Ban, and for nine long years helped lead the charge on Ohio’s Heartbeat Bill (signed in 2019). When Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, Ohio’s Heartbeat Law went into effect.

Lori has also done animal rescue work and is known to love a good pun or funny meme. She and her husband are empty-nesters who attend Countryside Church.

Adam Mathews

Adam, along with his wife Amanda and their four children, proudly call Lebanon their home. On Lebanon's City Council, he promoted pro-family and pro-business legislation, working with local shops and chambers of commerce to keep all downtown businesses alive through the government shutdowns. As Vice Mayor, he sponsored a budget that retired over $2 million of debt and brought in numerous new businesses and large developments into the area.

After graduating from St. Xavier High School, Adam attended the University of Notre Dame to study mechanical engineering and political science. He graduated from Notre Dame’s Engineering Honors Program, which included a thesis on his research modeling brain material for use by the United States Army to protect our soldiers from shrapnel and concussions caused by IEDs. His engineering work included time at Procter & Gamble’s diaper division, as well as research and development as a civilian for the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program.

Adam returned to Notre Dame for his law degree and has since practiced as a small business and patent attorney, helping inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs remove the legal red tape standing between them and realizing their business success. As a small business attorney and a small firm partner, he sees firsthand how regulations can hinder growth and success.

T.J. Honerlaw

The grandson of two self-employed grandfathers and the son of a self-employed father, T.J. Honerlaw is also living the American dream of being a small business owner.

Building on his father and grandfathers' lifelong Republican voting records and their belief in a small, conservative, unintrusive federal government as the Founding Fathers intended, T.J. was naturally drawn to the TEA Party movement and the desire to defend our God-given liberties & religious freedoms.

T.J.'s passion to get more involved was two-fold. First, he was moved by Franklin Graham's quote, “It is no longer enough for Christians to just vote, now they must get involved". Secondly, after learning more about the Anti-Colonial agenda and Saul Alinsky's two most famous students (Barack Obama & Hillary Clinton) T.J. realized that apathy and ignorance are not acceptable for any true American patriot.

More about T.J. Honerlaw:

  • Born & raised in Mason, Ohio (and currently a member of the Mason City Council)
  • Father of two teenage boys
  • Bible-believing Christian
  • Lifelong Republican
