From the President of the W.C. Republican Women's Club:

Dear WCRW Members & Potential Members:

The 2010 and 2012 Election years offer the Republican Party many challenges and many more opportunities.  It is fascinating to see and experience a re-birth of the "fiscal conservative" movement in the Republican Party and through the "Tea Party" organizations. The Ohio Republican Party seem hesitant to embrace and partner with the Tea Party members, even though everything they represent is protecting our personal freedoms, tight fiscal responsibility, and encouraging free market with less government control.  I guess the problem is that the Tea party members come generically wrapped without an "R" or "D" so our Republican Leadership doesn't quite know how to deal with them.  The reality if that most of the tea Party members are or were once part of the Republican Party.  They don't feel they left the Republican Party but the Republican Party left them. But I predict that in this year's elections, we will see a bigger than usual turnout of voters and a resurgence of strong conservative voters - the premise of Republican Party.

The reality is that some of our State and US Republican leaders had stopped embracing the fiscal conservative philosophy as tightly as they should have over the past decade and after this first year of President Obama's administration; a Democrat controlled Congress; and a near stalemate US Senate, Republicans and even some Democrats are seeing the errors of their ways.  Government as grown too big and too intrusive in a way that is now threatening our constitutional freedoms and national strengths.

The great news is that we have some excellent candidates running for State, Local and US seats. (John Kasich/Mary Taylor; Rob Portman and others.)  In 2010.....we take back the State House!  In 2012.....we finish taking back the Whitehouse, Congress and Senate.

The May 4th Primaries are fast approaching and as usual, our Republican Women's Club will be there to help take Warren County over the top in delivering good conservative candidates to the November 2nd General election.

If you are not a member of our Warren County Republican Women’s Club, I want to take this opportunity to invite you to join our organization. First established in 1957, our Members come together as a collective force to strengthen the Warren County Republican Party .

Equally important is our responsibility to advance the power of women through political access and participation. Our mission is to help women from all walks of life become players at the political table nationally and at the state and local level, whether as candidates or the powerhouse behind successful campaigns. We also award an annual College Scholarship to graduating High School ladies and fulfill volunteer leadership and support roles for various events sponsored by the County Republican Party.

Your participation has never been needed more than it is this year to accomplish our goals and those of the Republican Party as we all work toward "Taking back the State House" in the 2010 Gubernatorial and local elections.  We have an exciting year planned.  If you're not a member, please accept our invitation to join ($25/year).  If you're already a member, please help us grow our success by recruiting at least one new member this year.

We look forward to seeing you at our meetings and events.

Sincerely,

Pat South
2010 Club President
