Judicial Candidates Sought for Seat
to be Vacated in February
LEBANON, Ohio – People interested in being appointed to the unfilled portion of a judicial seat in Warren County Common Pleas Court General Division are being sought by the Warren County Republican Party.
Interested attorneys need to email Party Chair Ray Warrick at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 513-218-0937. A packet will be emailed to all applicants. The deadline for the packet to be returned is 5 p.m. Nov. 18, 2014.
Warren County Common Pleas Judge Robert Peeler ran for and won the seat currently held by Judge James Flannery. Judge Peeler will assume that term on February 8, 2015, leaving his current general division seat vacated.
Whoever is appointed to Judge Peeler’s vacated seat will need to run in a primary election in 2016 to retain the office.
A Judicial Review Committee has been established by the local party. They will present their recommendations to the entire Warren County Republican Executive Committee on December 2, 2014.
Three names will then be sent to Governor Kasich’s office so that a gubernatorial appointment can be made.
